WarioWare: Get It Together (Switch)

Have been waiting for a new entry in the series for the Switch. Hopefully will be more ludicrous fun. We need more OTT silliness in life.

What I really want too though is a proper sequel to the full sidescrolling GB games. Wario Land II is honestly one of the best platformers ever made. Amazing design - and it still holds up today. I found my old GBC recently and gave it a spin and had forgotten how well it plays and the amount of detail they squeezed into an 8-bit game.

I remember looking up at my bedroom after an intensive high-score pursuing Paper Plane session to find my vision utterly fucked, causing my surroundings to visibly and vertically stretch.

Switch cart preordered! :omg:

What may ruin the game is being over 50, it's all so fast and younger me is laughing at older me attempting to work out what I need to do when seeing some of the stages for the first time

The GBA one, Warioland 4, was also fantastic. So many great ideas.

Even with the first WarioWare I spent the first half hour totally messing up each task because my brain and eyesight weren't fast enough to process what needed to be done, but after a while it clicks and you just go by reflex, seeing the guy at the top of the slope for the ski jump as soon as it appeared you would be ready like some sort of muscle memory.

This is great…31 points seems to be my ceiling though! Kat, Wario and Orbulon the most reliable.

What are you supposed to do in the ‘Who Won?’ battle with the two cats? I haven’t got a clue.

The JoyCons on the artwork make with think this is going to be wagglelicious, or is that more of an indicator of the two player stuff?

All controlled with the pad in the demo. Must be to indicate 2P / sharing the joycon.

Pick the side with the most paint. It's the results screen from Splatoon

So so great to read my fellow ‘Ware bredren say this is good. I might hold off on the demo so I don’t spoil anything. You can never get back that first go of a new Wario Ware, ya know?

Years back, having no idea what I was about to experience, I downloaded the GBA ROM for a new game called "Wario Ware" expecting some standard platformer. Within about 30 seconds of starting it, I deleted the ROM and went to my local indie shop the next day to buy an import copy. I was hooked from the moment I first jumped the hotdog.

I probably introduced about 30 or 40 people to the series by shoving my GBA in their face and insisting they play it as a result of just wanting to see that look on people's faces! It's the best couple of minutes that gaming offers. And, it has lessened over the years, but you will definitely get that "What? TWEEZE? OH YOU F#@*ING ..." sensation back in your life.

Don't deny yourself, man. Play it alone, and get the joy from thrusting it onto others!

There’s only a few mini games that go in a cycle. Give into it.

Same. The exact same.

I seem to remember I got a load of stickers with the original (which I bought in some tourist clip shop in Times Square, so they may have been US only I guess).
