  1. I had the same. Got a great score with a combo for most of the song but made one too many misses. It was hard to beat but I did it eventually.

    CeX now trading board games

I just wouldn’t want to be stuck behind someone trading one in and watching the staff member tick the pieces off on a checklist!
  4. They seem to have a new section up for board games, not much up at the moment but they are offering some decent prices if you want to get rid of stuff but don’t want to deal with postage. https://uk.webuy.com/search?categoryIds=1106&categoryName=board-games

    Edge #323 25th Anniversary Edition

I came third apparently, not sure who came first. I don’t really want the boxset as I try to avoid clutter so will be putting it up in the for free folder if anyone wants it.

    Rllmuk's Retro Valuation Thread

I've got something I can't find a value on. It's a PS2 slim debug unit, one of the ones they used to use at shows so they could show pre release game footage before the discs had been printed. It looks just like a normal slimline PS2 but it plays all regions and also burnt discs if they have a master patch applied (it's not chipped or anything, the bios is a DTL one). I can't find anything similar apart from fat PS2s, anyone have any info?
  9. Something that never ever happens to me happened the other day, I got there first. I popped into the house clearance shop across the road from me as I always do once a week and asked if he had got any games in but alas no he replied. I had a wander anyway a spotted a large IKEA bag filled with DVDs, the chap shouted 50p each. This bag was right in the corner of the shop underneath a cupboard, so I pulled it out and spied a an Actua Soccer for the PS1, my interest rose. I started to dig and realised the bag was mainly filled with ps1/ds/3ds. I pulled out a Mario Kart 7 3ds and knew I was the first to pick it. I kept going, palms sweaty, and fished out 5 more 3ds games, nothing special, but stuff like nintendogs and cats, rabbids 3D, Lego friends etc decent CeX trade ins. I know there are a number of people near me who professionally mine charity shops and go in every morning at opening time and enquire what they got in. I never find anything, so this felt pretty awesome! Keep digging!

I have, it's just a standard code pattern, there is a double page spread with some of the codes translated into letters on page 56 and also a clue towards the very back as to where you can find more. with this I had enough to decipher just over half but that was enough. After the first 3 words I googled it and got the full quote.

I’ve figured out the quote from the inside cover, does anyone have the others? Or does anyone mind posting a photo of the inside code? I can crack it in a few minutes

I just read this thread having got back from holiday and realised my copy had been delivered but was still in the mail pile. I keenly opened it and was pleasantly surprised!

    Video capture of retro consoles

Thanks for the suggestions, as mentioned there doesn’t seem to be one solution but my research has taken me to these items: Capture card with RGB/RCA in: https://www.amazon.co.uk/HopCentury-Video-Game-Capture-PlayStation-Black-Red-HDMI-YPBPR-RCA/dp/B01G5AZ3G4/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1533792040&sr=8-2-spons&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=hopcentury%2Bgame%2Bcapture&psc=1&th=1 Scart splitter (one source to two screens): https://www.amazon.co.uk/2m-Scart-Splitter-Cable-Shielded-Black/dp/B0036QAJ60/ref=mp_s_a_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1533792557&sr=8-7&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=scart+splitter+1+input+2+output&dpPl=1&dpID=41t%2B0eo2%2B6L&ref=plSrch Scart adapter (female to female): https://www.amazon.co.uk/rhinocables®-Female-Coupler-Adaptor-together-Black/dp/B00EPD0UT4/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1533792717&sr=8-5&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=scart+adapter+female&dpPl=1&dpID=31cpumfHMhL&ref=plSrch Scart to rgb: https://www.fruugo.co.uk/rca-component-scart-tvreceiver-cable-5x-rca-plug-phono-1x-scart-plug/p-9554820-20164781?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI86ei66Df3AIVa7XtCh2w8w6OEAQYAyABEgKglvD_BwE I also have a scart to HDMI upscaler so I can also try that, but it is a bit artifacty. I’ll let you know how I get on and will post the results
  15. I’m trying to do a bit of research into this and wondered if anyone did it and had tips to start out. Ideally I’m looking for something that will take RGB scart and will split it so I can still play on a CRT but also record the output on a laptop for upload to YouTube.
