  1. Usborne Puzzle Adventures

I absolutely loved these, escape from blood castle was my first and my favourite. I had one called Danger Cove (?) and one called Ghost in the Mirror which I enjoyed along with several of the Agent Arthur titles. I loved the detail that was put into the illustrations, you would often see comical expressions and/ extra characters which would take your attention and add to the immersive ness of the story. I seem to remember Usborne published a few titles aimed at older kids with more in depth stories and puzzles although I never had a copy personally.
  2. Just one carboot today and did alright, I got this little haul for £7.20. I was quite pleased with the gameboy as it came with batteries & in great condition, and finally getting settlers 7 which I have wanted for a few years now.
  3. Stuff you miss about gaming

I loved Superkarts, it was one of the first games on my 486 PC that was on CD, it had from what I remember an amazing soundtrack and secret routes on the tracks which hid cash collectables. One of first PC 'big box' games along with Day of the Tentacle and Sam & Max.

So this Clickteam game creator, is it designed for a complete novice to be able to get into? I was wondering how intuitive it was for a newbie as it states in the blurb you don't need to know how to program and you can make your first basic game in an hour? I may take a punt if it drops to £15 again.

I've been hankering after the skyrim DLC and I've owned the vanilla version of skyrim since launch...can I buy the legendary version for £6.79 just to get the DLC to go with my existing copy/ save game or do I have to buy the DLC pack separately to go with my existing vanilla skyrim in my libary? I don't really want to pay more for the DLC separately if I can avoid it.

Just Euro Truck Simulator 2 Gold for me so far, I don't tend to go for simulators and I wouldn't normally be tempted by a game that seems to focus on the joy of driving a HGV, but I'm so intrigued by the positive feedback I had to give it a shot at £3!
  8. Wii U

Cheers for the link Final, I missed out on AC 4 at this price a few days ago from the game collection. After enjoying AC 3 for £4, I really wanted to pick up Black Flag as Ive heard its a return to form for the series, just ordered my copy.
  9. Wii U

Assasins Creed 4 Black Flag is £17 at simply games: http://www.simplygames.com/info/19901/Assassins-Creed-IV-Black-Flag-Nintendo-Wii-U I was thinking about picking it up but was wondering how it compared to the 360 version? I have heard that the analogue controls don't work as well on the Wii U version, but then I also understand you can run it off tv play on the game pad? This would be a very handy feature for when my wife his watching her soaps.. Let me know your thoughts if you have this version or have played it on different platforms.

I just picked up Gunpoint in the flashsale, any thoughts or opinions? I remember it was warmly received when released and the concept reminded me of Bonanza Bros on the Megadrive hich I always loved back in the day.

Right just bought two brothers, there is too much praise in the thread to not pick it up!

Anyone on here played/ have thoughts on Day of Defeat? I was wondering if it was worth a punt as it's so cheap, but appreciate it's now and old game and it looks like a Half Life Mod?
  14. Steam - Lunar New Year Sale Feb 15-19

I've managed to not spend too much so far, just over a tenner on FTL and Spec Ops this morning and that was based on the strong feedback in here, looking forward to finding the time to play! A question for veterans of the steam sales- does there tend to be a point mid- sale when they start churning out repeats? I was pondering wether to keep my eye out all the way thought till the 4th Jan, or if we've seen the best sale items now by the 28th?
