  1. It’s a shame Apple never bought the rights (https://www.theguardian.com/film/2017/sep/06/james-bond-distribution-rights-amazon-apple). Then the megalomaniac boss of a sinister tech corporation could be the hero, and James Bond could be the villain!

    The Peripheral

Will Amazon ever get tired of throwing money at adaptations of SF novels? Gibson works in trilogies so The Agency, his next one, will be set in the same universe(s).

The City & The City - BBC China Miéville adaptation

It has struck me recently that with all the discussion of the ‘invisible border’ between Northern Ireland and the Republic post Brexit the book has become weirdly relevant recently.
  14. Saw a trailer tonight for the BBC’s adaptation of China Miéville’s novel, starring David Morrissey, which means it must be fairly imminent. Love the book, hope this does it justice. https://www.panmacmillan.com/blogs/picador/the-city-the-city-coming-to-tv-in-2018
  15. This (spoiler-free) quote from that review: ...is especially encouraging if you’ve seen Alien: Covenant.
