    Bargain buys for everyone.

I got ‘Rattle, Battle, Grab the Loot’, which I’ve never heard of, but the box is heavy so I think I’ve got my money’s worth... Anyone played it?

    What are you playing?

    Famous frozen food retailer?

Where is it? I believe you’re local to me...I work in Deeside.

    Thor: Ragnarok

What a top film! Laughed loads in an empty cinema. I thought it would be full with half term kids, but somehow dodged that bullet. It was great to get home and finally click on the spoilers in this thread, laughing all over again as I was reminded of scenes and quotes. It looks splendid, has implications for future marvel films, and the soundtrack really fits the mood and style. Would like to see it in a cinema again, maybe with more people in the audience, because there’s nothing better than losing one’s shit to a wanking joke while in public.

    Simon Amstell: Carnage

I've not had dairy products since watching it. It's driving me mad and I can't believe I've done it, but something inside me just said "no more" when the lady dressed as a cow started singing. Another something inside me said "it's a fucking comedy show, never mind making decisions based on singing cows" but it wasn't as loud as the first something.

    Nintendo Switch

I got £70 to replace my faulty left and non vibrating right joycons. There's advice in the bargains folder.

    Nintendo Switch

I've just realised my right Joycon doesn't vibrate. I'm anticipating a lot of fun trying to get it replaced. Amazon have already told me to contact Nintendo for assistance...probably because I told them I didn't want to send the whole Switch back.

    Your favourite things to break

Breaking things and picking up the resulting studs is the main reason I play all the Lego games. Such a satisfying loop.

    Paper Mario: Color Splash

You can change a setting so you select and paint cards in one step. It is slow, but there are so many options that selecting from a menu would take a while too. Jump attack - proper shoe - single bounce etc. My main gripe so far was a couple of insta deaths that came out of nowhere. Other than that, I'm really enjoying this. I got a PSVR on launch day, but have been suffering from (unrelated) intermittent nausea and dizziness for a few days so I'm glad this is here to stop me despairing that I can't play Rez. Don't want to tarnish VR with the memory of feeling sick.

Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens

It looks very nice on PS4. At about 93% completion and feeling the grind somewhat.
  11. I was hoping Sam would look down a big hole and see the map down there too, all whirring and clacking.

    The Alan Partridge Thread

I loved the beginning with the series of quick cuts as he got in the car. A few too many quick cuts. Then the words "co directed by Alan Partridge" appeared on the screen. Such a well developed character!
  13. I've never seen mo' bile in reaction to a film.
