  1. So I was mucking around trying to see how stupidly cheap the really awful retro handhelds are... and then I found this. US$258. And apparently they've sold 92 of them. There really are some folks who are too stupid to be allowed near money.
  2. No reason it shouldn’t work - once redeemed to an account, the funds are the same as any other. Only thing really is that you can’t control what they spend it on - so if they do buy other apps, movies, whatever, it all comes out of the pool of funds you provided.
  3. Nifta is now assisting Operation Yewtree with their inquiries.
  4. Pirate Ship Higemaru. It's basically Pengo with pirates, but for some reason I'm hooked.
  5. NXT TakeOver: Toronto Toronto, Ontario NXT Championship Two Out of Three Falls Match Adam Cole (c) vs Johnny Gargano NXT Tag Team Championships Street Profits (c) vs Undisputed Era NXT North American Championship Velveteen Dream (c) vs Pete Dunne vs Roderick Strong NXT Women's Championship Shayna Baszler (c) vs Mia Yim Candice LeRae vs Io Shirai WWE SummerSlam Toronto, Ontario WWE Universal Championship Brock Lesnar (c) vs Seth Rollins WWE Championship Kofi Kingston (c) vs Randy Orton Also my pick for the-match-I'd-fall-asleep-watching points. WWE Raw Women's Championship Submission Match Becky Lynch (c) vs Natalya WWE Smackdown Women's Championship Bayley (c) vs Ember Moon WWE United States Championship AJ Styles (c) vs Ricochet WWE Cruiserweight Championship Drew Gulak (c) vs Oney Lorcan Kevin Owens vs Shane McMahon Trish Stratus vs Charlotte Goldberg vs Dolph Ziggler Finn Balor vs Bray Wyatt Poor Finn... BONUS QUESTIONS 1. Which match opens SummerSlam? 50 points Drew Gulak vs Oney Lorcan if we're talking pre-show. Goldberg vs Dolph Ziggler if we're talking actual PPV, because Grampy Bill can't stay up late. 2. Longest match of the weekend? Kofi Kingston vs Randy Orton (No, wait, it'll just *feel* like it's the longest, thanks to Orton's plodding "offense") 3. Name up to three wrestlers to be shown in the NXT crowd. Paige, Cesaro, Ricochet
  6. Seems appropriate to do this month's group retro game as a 3 credit challenge. Plus, it's a LOT of fun. I love this game.
  7. Monitor for a retropie project. Total cost: $5 from a charity shop (about £2.50). Pretty happy with it so far...
  8. 1999 came and went, and yet I could not find Smash TV anywhere on any channel. So disappointing.
  9. I stand by my assertion that Ms Pac-Man is the finest bit of retail Atari 2600 code. Pitfall II a close second.
  10. I think you do them for the enjoyment of play/creation. If it's intended as a money making venture, you'll need plenty of luck (and preferably an actual income to keep you afloat while you try to gain traction). In the meantime, I'm having a go at a world record:
  11. There's a few things in my collection which now command stupid prices, but for sentimental reasons if nothing else, the best bargain has to be the mint condition 7800 I got for absolutely nothing... off the side of the street one day.
  12. There's also the odd (but not as good) game for the original Xbox. But really, it's a game that peaked in its first outing.
  13. It's the beauty of SF2. Pretty much everyone has played it, it stands up well decades later, so there's a common ground. Still gutted about how that one ended, too.
  14. I'm having real fun with these now. So many games to choose from.
