The main reason the honour system has pissed me off is that I can't buy the Gambler outfit which I'm pretty sure will let me cheat at poker because my honour is too low.

My advice for anyone who feels like the game lacks a fully realised world or that you don't feel like you're seeing much random or what have you, ride to your destinations off the beaten track. I'm travelling from one end of the map to the other, with a mission objective marked, and coming across lots of random shit in the wild. I've worked out in my head where I eventually want to wind up and just avoid roads.

Cool moment... A while back, I'd noticed a homestead not far from Emerald Ranch that I left a marker for to come back and check out later. I returned to it today fully intending to rob the place. It was Aberdeen's Pig Farm. I won't say anymore because spoilers but needless to say I had my revenge.

Yeah, it was as you described and I too was a bit surprised by it as I barely recalled Karen prior to it.

Nope, this was definitely Karen. You can't miss those boobs.

My DLC war horse has randomly changed colours. It's now brown with a white nose. However, I found some guy looking for treasure, killed him and stole his map. Then I noticed he had a nice looking race horse (kind of a purple) so took that too and am now using it as my main horse. Also, I was walking around camp and came across Karen who asked if I wanted to talk. I said ok. Auther then unburdens himself, saying he's been killing animals and women. Like, it's a therapy session. Yet I haven't been. I have hardly killed any women and animals, outside of hunting for food. Weird and immersion breaking.

I killed a big cat and strapped it onto my horse to ride into Rhodes, where I was stopped by a man I'd earlier sucked snake posion out of, offering to buy me anything I wanted from the general store. So I went in and browsed the outfits for a while until I picked one out. I went back outside and the big cat was gone. Bug or someone stole it?

Is Read Dead Redemption 2 any good?

As I said in the main thread, it's a good game but it's missing...something. A game that long in the making, when we know Rockstar are capable of making leaps with their games, they haven't with this game. Both graphically, gameplay and story wise, it isn't better than the first game. Bigger map, more busy work, but ultimately by the numbers.

    Red Dead Redemption 2

It's a great game that I'm enjoying a lot. But I have to say - and it's possible this opinion could change, I'm nowhere near done with the story yet - that Red Dead Redemption 2 isn't really some huge, revolutionary jump from the first game. Don't get me wrong, it's fun. It's an excellent Rockstar open world game, much like the GTA series is, but outside of a larger map and throwing in all the various side stuff, I can't say Rockstar have broken the mould here or anything. They aren't obligated to or anything, but you'd certainly feel they're capable of it.

Hello. Another new starter here. I've come looking for a new place to lay my online head after being banished from the only other proper old style forum, like this, I'd ever used. Though don't worry too much - I hadn't done much very wrong, they just have their way of doing things over there and I guess figured they could do without me. Which, to be fair, they can. I hardly know anything about Bottom, for example. And I never did fit in with the cliquey atmosphere the place started developing a while back. I game on Xbox and PC. Obviously I am currently mainly playing RDR2. My first console was a NES, but I owned a C64 before that. I heard about this place a long time ago from someone who used to be a regular at the place I've come from and who popped back once or twice to basically tell us that this place was much better. I'm taking his word for it - I've come!
