Yoshi's Island is my favourite game of all time, I absolutely love it.

What do you emulate and what do you do it with?

Cool, that sounds good! I have an AMD A10-5800K. Ooh that's a good idea, I hadn't even thought of that, thanks!

One of the ones I tried was Vice City Stories. I don't have a card, just onboard graphics. That might be my problem Might be worth getting one of those if they can run PS2 games though! Can they run Gamecube and Xbox games at all?

I recently (well, 3-4 months ago) installed a PS1 emulator on my computer. I find it a hassle to play those games on my TV using original hardware, this way is much better and I'm more likely to actually play some of the games that way. I'd like to play PS2 games the same way, but the ones I tried run like shite.

I like Vampire's Kiss/Drac X. It's no Super Castlevania, but I still enjoy it. The first time I played it I thought it was really cool when I fell down a hole and ended up in another level rather then dying. That was a nice surprise. Beauty and the Beast is alright, but from what I can remember the difficulty ramps up really high suddenly (not that it was easy to start with) and it gets a bit annoying.

I've never played the Atari version but if it's the same as the SNES version then yeah it's pretty easy to get lost in certain areas, some can feel like a bit of a maze at times. Yeah Addams Family Values is a good game. I prefer the two platformers but I still like it. I haven't played it anywhere near enough though so I'll have to go back to it some time too!

I absolutely love The Addams Family! Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt is another really good (albeit it really hard) platformer. Those are two of my favourite games on the SNES, really like them both.
  9. I haven't properly enjoyed a GTA game since Vice City. I do find that the larger they get the less I enjoy them, amongst other reasons why. Driving round each place that I know and kind of pretending I'm there (sounds a bit sad) knowing everywhere is what I find most fun about them, so when pretty much each place feels unknown and new all the time it takes me out of it.
  10. Story driven games do absolutely nothing for me at all. I'm not really as bothered about it as I was a few years ago since there are plenty of indie and smaller games getting proper releases these days, plus I still enjoy going back to retro stuff, so they keep me busy, but still, I can't help but feel disappointed watching something like Sony's E3 conference and nearly every trailer seems to just be a person walking slowly through a field doing bugger all. And as I just saw something to do with Red Dead Redemption 2 on Reddit, I thought the original was really boring. I liked Undead Nightmare though.

Thanks Nick! I was pretty lucky getting some of them, mostly a case of right time and place with ones like Vampire's Kiss and the Turricans, I doubt I'd ever have managed to get them under normal conditions

Took a pic of my games for a Reddit thread yesterday, don't think I've posted one here before I haven't bought any SNES games this year apart from Rockman 7, but I've started to feel like I'm getting the bug again recently. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

    Driver

Ah Driver, my favourite PS1 game (I think). I love the atmosphere of the game, the combination of everything fits really well IMO. I used to just drive around doing nothing for hours. The garage was definitely tough as a kid, I tried it a couple of years ago though and did it first try, which was nice. Last time I played it though the game seemed a bit jumpy/glitchy. It might just be the copy I used, I've got another couple to try sometime though. I've never played Driver 2 for some reason. I'll have to give it a go sometime though, maybe this thread will inspire me to do it soon.

In the past I've used my old Mega Drive PSU on my Super Famicom, but I don't currently have access to it. Will a Master System PSU work ok with it? It's the 3008-05 model. I can't seem to find anything on Google about that particular model PSU and the SFC. Edit: I tried it, seems to work fine.

Thanks for the replies! I forgot about the SNES Mini.
