  1. Has there been any 'build up', 'behind the scenes', 'training' documentaries aired following Khabib or McGregor? Something along the lines of the HBO boxing 24/7 ones

How the hell did I miss this guy? I only discovered him recently after watching the Akala Presents: The Ruins of Empire (brilliant btw). Amazing flow and lyric content. Love it. If your a fan, what albums/tracks should I check out?

Listening to Dr. Octagon got me thinking about what great 90s albums I'm missing out on that I haven't listened to for a while, or missed at the time. The only two that are fairly regular in my playlist are Liquid Swords and Deltron 3030, if I can include it (released 2000).

Looking forward to the new Dr. Octagon album. Dr. Octagonecologyst was the soundtrack to many a stoned evening at friend's houses as a youth. 22 years ago!
  5. Thanks to those that voted the Slowdrive album to the top. Just listening to it now for the first time. It's an immersive brilliant album.
  6. I only started playing online properly a few weeks back. There was an adversary mode called motor wars that I kept get invited to by Martin. I can't seem to find out how to play it now. Don't get an invite to it anymore
  7. Yeah, there's no way in the world they're having a rematch in the octagon. I find it laughable that some boxing journalists or pundits have even hinted at this being a possibility. I'm a boxing fan primarily with a fairly casual interest in MMA, but it's pretty clear that even the most mediocre of UFC fighter would smash Mayweather in the octagon. A boxers skills can't really crossover into MMA, the mixed combat fighters just have too many other options of things they can do do fuck you up. How the hell would Mayweather even survive for a minute? He'd have zero takedown defence against someone with experience. It's not quick to learn the skills needed either!
  8. Some good analysis by Chris Eubank on McGregor's chances. It's a great interview. I agree with his opinion about McGregor can't outbox Floyd but he doesn't have to. He can 'out-fight' him by being more aggressive and also through using his mma skills though obviously within the rules of boxing. I think McGregor has been hinting all along that he's not going to 'box' him. I wouldn't be surprised if we see him fighting in a Bruce Lee'esque stance like he was at the weigh-in. He's not going to be standing square on with his guard up, I think he's going to be coming in very aggressively at times and diving in from distance at odd angles. Gonna be very interesting, but whether that's enough to trouble Mayweather, fuck knows.
  9. Just finished the series. It didn't dip in quality. Just sublime television. I'm putting that up there with the very best TV series, if not the best series I've watched. Unrelentingly bleak adult television, that's what's so great about it.
  10. I totally agree. The world it has created is fascinating to me and I want to know all about it. I especially want to know more about the slow slippery descent into this type of dystopian future. This is the type of stuff that is fascinating to me and some of the best bits of the show. Just imaging myself in that situation, seeing things get worse and worse and just being dumbfounded by it all happening around me.
  11. Watched the first episode of this last night. It was fantastic. It may be the best opening episode of any TV series I've watched. I went into it knowing very little about the plot and haven't read the book so didn't have any expectations for it to begin with. I've bought into the whole dystopian world it has created already and can't wait to see where it goes. I really liked how 'dark' it was and how it didn't pull any punches. Like one of my favourite movies, Children of Men, it's set in a believable dystopian future world which is what makes it so fascinating and scary to watch.
  12. Really enjoyed this. I just love his documentaries for the use of old archival footage and how he splices it all together. I loved the sequence with Suicide's Dream Baby Dream and all of the footage of pre-911 disaster movies. That really sent a shiver up my spine!
  13. I love a Werner Herzog documentary. He releases two new documentaries today. Both look amazing. Netflix bought one of them and just released it.
  14. Been loving the game and multiplayer so far. Still haven't got to truly enjoy what the multiplayer is all about though as haven't been in a decent squad that stick together yet. If anyone needs an extra player on PS4 then please add Sapa888. Usually not on mic but keen to just follow team/orders and resupply/heal/spot etc.
