I agree, and it's ideas like those which only cement the understanding that I'll never be an author.

You were obviously off your face posting that, plums.

    Anime

Holy shit that was awesome! I've watched all twelve episodes in three days and it was outstanding. Unfortunately I'm hearing that season 2 will be animated by a completely different sudio...

    Salted caramel

Definitely worth a punt if I'm passing, though if they did a version for cashews I think I'd be in the car by now.

I'm after flavour, I'm not a brand snob. If that tastes as good as it looks, I'm in.

    Salted caramel

Salted caramel itself would be vegan, but I can't vouch for for any of the other ingredients. It's caramel, but the salt intensifies the flavour in such a sexy way that is hard to describe.

Sounds like I may have to make some more purchases....

Keep them coming. Though I'm going to be mightily disappointed if that salt isn't actually from the Himalayas!

How amazing is this stuff? I've had a bit of an obsession with SC - it deserves an acronym - for a while now. I've tried good SC (Hotel Chocolat) and bad SC (some shitty hot cross buns that claimed to be laced with it), but I believe I've hit upon my greatest find yet: Holy fucking amazeballs. It's pure sex, right in your mouth. I'd buy everyone a bar* just to demonstrate how awesome it is. Plus it's on offer at the moment in Sainsbury's for £1.50. So go do yourself a favour and try some of this nectar of the gods. And if for some reason it's not your cup of tea, then you're fucking wrong. *Not really.

    Nintendo Switch eShop

I loved Super Metroid, which is why Axiom Verge is so appealing. But like you've said, the art style is putting me off somewhat. On the other hand, I've just completed SteamWorld Dig on the PC so I'm tempted to pick up the sequel on Switch.

    Game of Thrones for Dummies

This has reminded me that I need to watch it all again from the start before the final season. Also to avoid confusion: some semi-major characters have a change of actor between seasons. Which can be off-putting. Luckily they don't spend a great deal of time on screen. The Mountain seems to evolve like a fucking Pokémon.

Netflix Recommendations - See OT for other thread

So I watched Last Knights. It's basically 47 Ronin where you swap the Japanese cast for a politically correct medley, and remove the good bits. Avoid.

The thought of the culture series being brought to life on telly makes me a little giddy. If this ends up being shit, I'll be very upset. Very upset indeed.

    Sci Fi recommendations

Read a review in The Verge for a book called Semiosis by Sue Burke. The premise is fairly interesting, so I think I'm going to give it a try.
