    N64 Appreciation Thread

Loved the N64 back in the late 90s. It's the first console that I remember having where we properly played multiplayer. My mates would come round and we'd have ISS tournaments, Mario Kart tournaments, or just shoot the hell out of each other on Goldeneye. All sitting around a tiny telly, not that much bigger than the screen on the laptop I am typing on! Pretty sure I've still got it somewhere, so will need to dig it out and give it a go to see if it is still working. Remind me, what was the connector for the TV on the N64?

    Cracking strike. Precision.

Exactly @Plissken. Most of that seems to be lost on them though.

The line that gets wheeled out about how most EPL teams want them in the league is the main bit that the rest of us are tired with. Anyone I've spoken to isn't bothered in the slightest if they were to join. And it begs the question, how would it work?

Nah, not sure how well that would go down at Tynecastle... Don't worry, so am I. I feel this need to defend Scottish football at times, even though I don't fully believe in it. I didn't see either game, but was told Aberdeen gave a good account of themselves, which was good to hear. Meanwhile Brendan Rodgers claims his side are only conceding dodgy goals rather than fantastic ones, which are purely down to defensive errors. Clearly had your eyes shut for Lafferty's goal at the weekend then Brendan...

Didn't lose to them over two games in regulation time...

Was far from a game for the purists, but the JTs did the business yesterday v Celtic thanks to a cracking strike from Lafferty. The game was a lot more even than I was expecting, with few chances for either side. Ikpeazu, Haring and Souttar were excellent, although there were few failures. The only downside was the injury to Berra. Looked like his hammy, which is not good news. Two from two!

Yeah, didn't take Gerrard long to start singing from the hymn sheet. McKenna does give Morelos a shove. But still doesn't justify kicking out at him. And I thought the penalty was soft too. But no, the world is against them (his words, not mine).

In as Instant Backpass XV. Decided to try to largely avoid the players I had last season, just to make it a bit more interesting. So no Kane or Salah. I may live to regret this...
  14. Started watching the highlights from the weekend - that bit of skill down the right wing from Gwion Edwards was ridiculous @merman!

Can only dream! We'll at least go into the game with confidence. Our away record in recent years has been terrible. Hoping that today's win might be the start of changing that a little.
