    Taskmaster

It isn't terrible but it isn't a patch on our version. Most of the tasks were straight out of the UK show, and there's some enjoyment to be had. However, the main problem was the episodes were just over 20 minutes long*, which covered a couple of recorded tasks and the live task. It was a lot to fit in, and unfortunately it was the discussions and arguments in the studio that lost out. It also didn't help that none of the contestants were (AFAIK) particularly big names, and I didn't like three of the five. It doesn't sound like it did well ratings-wise so probably won't be returning. * The Spanish version had five episodes, each of which were about 90 minutes long.

    Taskmaster

Was a superb season, thought everyone contributed a lot. Superb episode to round it off last night too, I'll miss this bunch. According to Reddit, series 8 airs in May, so not too long to wait. Definitely worth checking out the youtube/twitter pages too, there's lots of outtakes and deleted tasks that are well worth a watch.

    Finished world two

    Nintendo Switch

If you have your account on the Switch, he can play your games on his account, no problem there. I think you'll need the online for Minecraft, but I'm not too sure. I remember reading that free games don't need the service, but everything else does. There is a family pass if you both want online, but I haven't taken the plunge, so others here could advise better. Some great games (especially for co-op) on Switch, hope you both love it!

Monthly Release Dates - November 2018

All about Spyro for me. Shame that I don't think all three games are on the disc, but the Spyro games were such a large part of my childhood that I'll be getting it day one regardless.

Astro Bot - PSVR - Game of the year 2018.

Played 2-2 this afternoon, comfortably my favourite level so far. Spent ages exploring but couldn't find the last two bots. Then started 2-3 before there was a knock at the door, so had to leave it there. Should have just locked the door and kept playing.

    PlayStation VR

Done the first world of Astro Boy. Adore it. Trying to pace myself, might do a world a day or something similar. A little disappointed that you can't redo boss fights though, wanted to tackle the first boss again. The movement transitions in the first level made me feel a little strange at first, but got used to it fairly quickly. I still have a problem with VR in general, as I can't ever seem to get a perfectly clear picture. For me, anything really close to the visor appears blurry. I've got one eye stronger than the other, which I think causes the issue, but at least it isn't too frustrating in games with more cartoony graphics.

    PlayStation VR

It's $36 (about £27) on the US store if that helps? There's a birthday VR sale too https://store.playstation.com/en-us/grid/STORE-MSF77008-PSVRSALEG/1 VR Worlds looks good for $6, finally time to try out that gangster game.

Ooh, Shantae is a great addition to the Game Pass. I don't suppose the DLC is included too?

    Persona 5 | PS3, PS4

God, I love this. Bit too grindy, but it has completely and utterly sucked me in. More than anything, I'm blown away by the scale of the game- the sheer amount of content. A huge translation, mostly voiced, looks and sounds superb too. Glad I went for the Ultimate Edition too, the +EXP/money accessories help with the grind somewhat. It has also made me think of the other games too, and while I can still remember chunks of P4G well, I've forgotten almost everything about P3P.

    Persona 5 | PS3, PS4

The sale on the Ultimate Edition was the push I finally needed to start this. I'm already over 20 hours in, it has ruined my sleep pattern and am completely hooked. Bring on the weekend! I do miss not having it on a handheld, but on the other hand it looks gorgeous. Voice acting is superb too.
  12. Not really expecting anything from this. 3DS has Luigi's Mansion and Mario and Luigi 3, don't see that taking more than a minute or so. The online serivce needs some concrete details, current lack of info makes it seem unfinished. Smash has just had its own direct (and E3), and have had the recent indie spotlights too, so hopefully skip over those quickly. Pokemon will probably eat up a good chunk of time, and a couple of surprises for this year. Ooh, I'd like Spyro Reignited officially confirmed too. My biggest hope is a proper Virtual Console service (Mario Sunshine please, but I'd take a remaster too), with Wii U purchases eligible for transfer/upgrades, can't see it though. Could be the Starfox GP reveal, that would be exciting!

    Nintendo Switch

(Apologies if has been posted elsewhere) A few first party titles have been discounted this week (MK8, Arms and Splatoon 2). https://nintendoeverything.com/european-switch-eshop-hosting-new-play-online-sale-full-lineup-of-discounts/ I've gone for Mario Kart, seems perfect for digital, but they're all £33.29.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Quick question: do you make elixirs the same way as meals? Meals seem fairly logical to make, but I haven't really bothered with potions and whatnot. Really enjoying it so far, currently tackling the third beast. Has been a big surprise, as I don't normally do open-world games.

    Hollow Knight - Soulsvania platformer

Picked this up in the sale, lovely on the Switch. Looking forward to getting stuck in.
