Are these shoulder pad insignia? You can buy Forge World Space Wolf shoulder pads which have the wolf logo embossed on it. White wolf, black shoulder pad, badabing!
  6. The Random WoW Thread

Hah, I went in LFR precisely for the final McGuffin, having not bothered with the Insurrection chain. Then I was forced to go in again as I ported out without noticing that the quest hand-in was still in the raid zone. Oops. Maybe LFR is my level then (only kidding, heroic ToS tonight, hopefully improve on our 3/9 progress, I redid my UI specially)
  7. Games Workshop, An Appreciation Thread

I'd keep the nurgling, with the rationale being in the olden times Realm of Chaos days IIRC the Nurgle host would be crawling with nurglings, so them being all over the Blood Bowl pitch is team appropriate :-)
  8. The Miniatures Appreciation Thread

Please post your work on those. I've got a couple of old metal plaguebearers with what are probably plastic Space Marine shoulderpads on one shoulder as part of my 20 year old Blood Bowl team kicking about
  9. Your game development/release experiences, mobile or otherwise

Aah the self-promotion part. I am atrocious at this and always have been. So no website (although I have the domain registered). I should cobble together some screenshots for here at least. It's sort of an infinite runner, tile based, as that was the idea I had that I was most familiar with how to get stuff on a screen. I'll bundle up some blurb when I do the screenshots, it'll be good practise! And yeah, the 70% is a number that has gone up, as well as down, when realising I needed things like a cursory plot, or an end game boss! (the arrival of whom stopped it being an infinite runner but it lends itself to an infinite mode, woo unlockables!)
  10. Your game development/release experiences, mobile or otherwise

Good thread. I'm six months into writing an iPhone game, in Unity, in my spare time. I fully intend to publish it (somehow) so this is helpful reading. It's probably 70% there which is nice. Probably trying to push too many polygons but even if it turns out to be bobbins I'm enjoying the experience of bringing together all the little bits of generalist skills I've picked up over the years to create it. Plus I've got the idea for game two nailed down in my head, and as what won't be the first attempt ought to be much more straightforward (famous last words!)
  11. General chatter - discuss anything here

Aww Mythos! That's my favourite card game. I have a nearly complete set of the starter edition and the first three expansion packs, all in card wallets in a lever arch file, and despite being comfortably old enough to order a pint, the plastic hasn't deteriorated and turned it into a glued together mess. I really liked that you could play it like a race against the oppoenent but also try and hunt them down with the right card combination and get your allies to attack the other investigator. If anyone has a spare Nyarlathotep card hit me up!
  12. The Walking Dead!

Carl's mostly hair and hat and eyepatch these days. Get him to film a few pouty reaction shots then you'd be good replacing him with anyone broadly that build heh.
  13. 20 years ago today - PAL N64 Launch

Approximately 20 years ago I was going to an open day at UCL. I stayed a couple of nights in youth hostels in London and remember vividly playing Mario 64 in the Virgin Megastore at Tottenham Court Road (back in the days you could buy AD&D stuff there). That controller man! The N64 I bought, not at launch, but in the summer with my very first proper paycheck; doing rubbish seasonal factory work in a Ribena factory. Bought from the Argos in Gloucester as a reward for seven day weeks of shift work. An N64 wtih Mario 64, and Mario Kart 64. With an extra controller to play the latter with my brother. I seem to recall the console costing £250 at this point, but could be wrong, but I do remember having a fist full of £20s to hand over at the till for what was at the time my most expensive purchase with my own money. I still have it, it's nicely boxed up in my wardrobe. I'd be unsurprised if it still works flawlessly.
  14. Includes animation, guilty pleasures, and my favourite kung fu flick. Glaring holes in what I've actually seen, but this decade was two thirds upbringing in the middle of nowhere then the rest at uni in the bar. 1990 1. Gremlins 2 2. Tremors 3. Total Recall 1991 1. Ooh we're playing the old White Dwarf game? Here's my oldest. An outlier by far (151 is when I started with the hobby, Golden Demon '92) as this was bought as a curio, the oldest one they had in stock. I *think* I bought it in The Hobbit Hole in Gloucester, sadly long since closed down, but it was a terrifically well stocked manga and RPG store.
